Possibility of 12-hour shifts. Position may have day and evening classes for upcoming semesters; daytime availability is preferable.

A registered professional nurse who assumes responsibility for planning, teaching, and evaluating students in the clinical area. The instructor shares in the total responsibility of providing quality instruction for the students. The adjunct faculty will become familiar with the philosophy, objectives and policies of the nursing program and the Nursing Student Handbook. The adjunct will become familiar with the college‑wide adjunct faculty handbook, the college catalog, and college policies.

Attend selected meetings as designated by the dean/college/nursing director. Shall maintain professional competence and provide evidence of completion to the nursing office through activities such as active practice, continuing education programs, conferences, workshops, seminars academic courses, research projects and professional writing. Participate in academic advising, and counseling to assigned group of students. Confer with the nursing program director regarding clinical rotation plans, assigned clinical agencies, and assigned group of students.

Plan orientation day at assigned clinical facility for designated time on the assigned unit and for other clinical agency clinical adjunct onboarding requirements. This will be coordinated through full‑time nursing faculty or the…
