Learning Designer, LXD

• Design and develop learning solutions using adult-learning principles and digital-first design practices.
• Translate learning objectives, content outlines, and subject-matter-expert input into clear, accurate, and visually effective learning materials.
• Use templates, design standards, and AI-driven content-development processes to produce consistent, high-quality deliverables.
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback while maintaining alignment with learning objectives, design standards, scope, and project requirements.
• Support learning evaluation through assessments, surveys, feedback mechanisms, and other measures of learner response and performance.
• Participate in client-facing meetings, discovery sessions, design reviews, and working sessions.
• Assist with needs analysis by gathering, organizing, and documenting learner, business, performance-gap, and outcome information.
• Communicate with clients, subject-matter experts, and internal stakeholders.
• Translate client needs into solution recommendations and help define project scope.
• Apply foundational change-management thinking to learning design decisions.
• Execute assigned project tasks independently and meet deadlines, quality expectations, delivery requirements, and scope.
• Maintain project documentation, including content inventories, design documents, review logs, version-control records, and task status updates.
• Identify and elevate risks, content gaps, timeline concerns, and dependency issues.
• Conduct self-review and peer-review activities for quality, accessibility, brand, and usability.
• Collaborate with project managers, LXDs, Senior LXDs, Lead LXDs, creative partners, product teams, and client stakeholders.
• Contribute ideas to improve learning assets, development workflows, templates, and team delivery.
• Build foundational knowledge of the Unboxed Skill Building Platform, including content deployment, basic configuration, user roles, learner experience, and basic reports.
• Support learning solutions incorporating training services and learning technology.
• Stay informed about emerging learning practices, instructional technologies, and digital-content approaches.
• Build proficiency in at least one target industry vertical, such as Life Sciences, Manufacturing, or Hospitality.
• Research assigned topics and synthesize information into clear, audience-appropriate learning content.

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, learning and development, education, communications, organizational development, or a related field.
• Two or more years of experience in instructional design, corporate learning, training content development, education, enablement, or a related field.
• A demonstrated pattern of taking on increasing responsibility quickly in prior roles.
• Demonstrated ability to design and develop learning materials for instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, blended, and performance-support formats.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, agency-style environment, balancing multiple work streams to deliver all with excellence.
• Working knowledge of adult-learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning evaluation practices.
• Experience using learning-content authoring, presentation, visual design, video, collaboration, and other content-development tools.
• Experience with LMS/LXP platforms is preferred.
• Preferred experience supporting client-facing learning, consulting, implementation, or professional-services projects.
• Preferred experience developing content for regulated or operationally complex industries.
• Preferred experience applying accessibility standards, learning analytics, or AI-assisted content-development tools.
• Preferred comfort navigating organizational change initiatives.
• Strong writing, editing, communication, organization, project-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills, including an ability to manage multiple priorities, incorporate feedback, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, client-service environment.
• Consultative communication skills, including active listening, tailoring messages to different audiences, and producing clear and concise written communications for clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with clients or stakeholders, even in a supporting capacity.
