Monitor – Amazon Prime Air
This critical role is central to our commitment to delivering packages safely, efficiently, and reliably through our advanced drone fleet. The Flight Monitor will be responsible for real‑time monitoring of drone flights, ensuring operational compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Continuously monitor the status of all active drone flights within the assigned region, utilizing our state‑of‑the‑art monitoring systems.
- Identify and respond to any deviations from planned flight paths or operational parameters.
- Ensure all drone flights comply with regulatory requirements and company safety policies.
- Coordinate effectively with the relevant teams to implement immediate response strategies to mitigate risks and resolve situations.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on flight activities, incidents, and anomalies. Provide feedback and insights to support continuous operational improvement.
- Utilize excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills while maintaining a high attention to detail in all tasks.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills while working effectively in a high‑pressure environment.
- Adhere to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, team environment.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Strong attention to safety and ability to follow detailed procedures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of aviation terminology and regulations.
- Experience in warehouse or logistics.
- Experience in aviation, aerospace, or drone operations.
- Carry/lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
- Work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Potential travel up to 25% of the time.
- May require an Export Control License & DOT drug/alcohol testing for safety‑sensitive functions.
