Asset Performance Partners Inc. is seeking an Asset Performance Engineer to supportreliability, maintenance, and asset performance improvement projects across industrial manufacturing and heavy-industryfacilities in the United States.
This role isideal for an engineer with practical plant experience whoenjoys working directly with equipment, supporting maintenanceimprovement initiatives, and spending time on-site with clients. The position is based in Richmond, VA , with hybrid/remote workbetween site visits , and requires extensive U.S. travel.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Support reliability and asset performance improvement projects atclient facilities.
- Perform equipment assessments on industrial systems, includingrotating equipment, process equipment, and supportingutilities.
- Assist with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and failure investigations,including data gathering and documentation.
- Support the development, review, and improvement of preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Work within Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP or Maintenance Connection to:
- Updateand validate asset master data
- Assist with Bill of Materials (BOM) alignment
- Participate in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) workshops and structured maintenance reviews.
- Supporton-site execution of projects in collaboration with clientmaintenance and operations teams.
- Preparetechnical documentation, reports, and engineeringdeliverables.
Work under the guidance of seniorengineers and project managers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’sdegree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering , or a related discipline.
- 3–8 yearsof experience in industrial maintenance, reliabilityengineering, process engineering, or asset performanceroles.
- Experience working in manufacturing, processing, energy, orheavy-industry environments.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment, maintenance practices, and plant operations.
- Experience using a CMMS (SAP, Maintenance Connection, orsimilar).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in industrial plant environments.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Travel Requirement
- Extensive travel within the United States is required .
- Typicaltravel ranges from 40% to 80% , includingmulti-week stays at client sites.
- Ability totravel up to 5 days per week during active project phases.
