Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
Maintain strict compliance with all applicable FAA regulations, commercial aviation industry safety standards, FBI guidelines and policies, industry standards, manufacturer’s instructions, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, specifications, letters, and technical data.
Perform all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspection and repair associated with the aircraft, engines, propellers, associated systems, and specialized mission equipment.
Perform conditional, annual, phase and special inspections as required.
Experience on the following aircraft desired:
Gulfstream G550 , Beechcraft King Air 200, Cessna Caravan 208, Cessna 206 Station air, and Cessna Skylane 182.
Support the following maintenance requirements:
Overhaul and repair, battery maintenance, sheet metal support, welding and fabrication, avionics and Specialized Mission Equipment support, aircraft ground handling and operations support, Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and maintenance support, aircraft servicing support (Refueling, Defueling, Engine Oils, Hydraulic Oil, Aviators Breathing Oxygen, Nitrogen and Other Compressed Gases, Chemical Toilets, Aircraft De‑Icing and Cold Weather Operations, Aviation Life Support System, Perform fuel samples after refueling, Other necessary associated tasks as required), preservation/de‑preservation, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Control Support, Aircraft Tool Control Support, Precision Measurement Equipment support, Aircraft Maintenance Testing Support, Aircraft Maintenance Recovery Support, Operational Surge Support, Aircraft Enhancements, Safety, Hazardous Material Control Support, and maintenance reporting as required.
In addition to ground maintenance duties, to serve as a Crew Chief, accompanying the aircraft on operational missions to provide in‑flight systems monitoring, troubleshoot discrepancies, and coordinate with aircrew to maintain optimal aircraft performance.
High School diploma or GED equivalent required; two-year technical trade school, military experience, or equivalent on-the-job training is required
Must hold a valid Airframe & Powerplant certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
Must have a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience as a Mechanic.
Experience shall be in a similar position within the last twelve (12) months.
Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain DOJ Top Secret Security Clearance is required.
Demonstrated experience in the type of maintenance support required for fixed wing aircraft, G550 experience is required.
Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears and sheet metal break.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to retain information and make decisions according to standard policies and procedures.
Ability to determine work methods to accomplish assignments.
Excellent knowledge of applicable FAA Federal Aviation Regulations.
Ability to make proper entries in aircraft logs and records.
DOJ Secret Clearance with ability to obtain DOJ Top Secret Security Clearance is required.
Have and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Maintain a valid US Passport and the appropriate vaccinations required for international travel.
