We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Engineer / Technical Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high‑level support for all critical systems and applications, ensuring zero or minimal downtime. This role requires deep technical expertise and a proactive approach to managing complex systems in a high‑stakes environment.

• Technical lead by providing high level support for all Federal Reserve Bank critical systems and applications with zero or minimal downtime
• Oracle (Solaris) and Redhat Linux Virtualizations
• IBM Web Sphere (versions 3.x – 8.x) on both Solaris and Linux
• IBM MQ (versions 5.x – 9.x) on both Solaris and Linux
• TREP (Thompson Reuters Enterprise Platform), RMDS (Reuters Markets Data System), DACS, Wombat, Refinitiv
• Storage provisioning using HP 3
  
  PAR administration
• OS and application monitoring using Fog Light and BMC Patrol
• Backup using Commvault, Veritas Net Backup (using Symantec appliances)
• Server provisioning using HP Opsware
• Users and server access provisioning using CentrifyDC
• Informatica experience – hands‑on installation, how it runs

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or technical lead roles, preferably in a financial or banking environment
• Strong expertise in Oracle (Solaris), Red Hat Linux, IBM Web Sphere, IBM MQ, and relevant virtualization technologies
• Familiarity with Thomson Reuters and Refinitiv platforms, along with experience in data systems and storage administration
• Proven experience with monitoring tools such as Fog Light and BMC Patrol, as well as backup solutions like Commvault and Veritas Net Backup
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve complex technical issues
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
