The Technical Project Manager III is responsible for managing and executing complex, mid- to large-scale projects and programs within infrastructure and data center environments.
This role provides technical leadership, oversees release management activities, and collaborates closely with engineering, operations, architecture, and product teams.
The position ensures project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and in alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage process execution for complex mid- to large-scale projects or programs.
- Review all aspects of project development, including schedules, budgets, staffing requirements, constraints, and risks.
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure completion within approved budget guidelines.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project managers, product managers, scrum masters, and engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and leadership regarding project progress, risks, and status updates.
- Apply project management best practices and methodologies to support successful long-term project outcomes.
- Manage releases and oversee the entire release lifecycle.
- Support after-hours or weekend activities and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience.
- 5-7 years of infrastructure knowledge or experience managing large-scale data centers.
- 5-7 years of program or product management experience.
- 5-7 years of release management experience.
- Experience collaborating with technology teams, including design/build engineers, delivery engineers, operations teams, and architects.
- Strong knowledge of supporting mission-critical applications and infrastructure in 24x7 environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- High proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Project, and Gantt chart tools.
- Experience with operating systems, databases, middleware, and network technologies.
- Experience with engineering tools, processes, and best practices.
- Experience with Agile development and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
