We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Manually and electronically designs and drafts detailed drawings, such as wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and mechanical systems for portions of large and/or complex construction projects. Evaluates engineering work and supporting documents to verify conformance to industry codes and company specifications and standards. May visit construction sites.

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:

2-3+ years of related experience. Knowledge of mechanical, structural, and electrical engineering design drafting principles. Knowledge of applicable regulations, related codes, and standards. Knowledge of company design and operating standards.

Abilities: to maintain and update DOT class location maps, to plan and schedule work independently. Lead and teach draftspersons, to size and design structural steel and reinforced concrete components, to complete designs for large and/or complex systems, to develop new applications within the Microstation/AutoCAD system. Strong Microstation/AutoCAD skills. Strong math skills including geometry and trigonometry required to perform complex calculations. Excellent communication skills.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be acceptd in lieu of preferred level of education:
