Job Description
Timmons Group is always accepting applications for a Licensed Surveyor to join our Survey group for future opportunities. While we may not have an immediate opening, we will keep your resume and information for future opportunities.
The Licensed Surveyor is responsible for the successful management of assigned projects and client accounts. The successful candidate will manage and perform design-related surveying projects using relevant office software, modeling, and CADD technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing assigned projects and developing client relationships.
- Marketing, client development, ensuring technical quality, profitability, schedule adherence, coordinating project staff, client communication, proposal preparation, negotiating scopes and fees, billing, and fee collection support.
- Maintaining superior relationships with clients and cross-selling Timmons Group services.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, including mid-sized, small, or larger projects.
- Performing design-related surveying projects with office software, modeling, and CADD technology.
- Projects may include boundary, topographical, construction, control networking, and high-definition surveys.
- Performing calculations using surveying formulas and skills, utilizing computers to solve problems.
- Communicating regularly with the Division Manager, clients, staff, and internal teams.
Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate should include, but are not limited to:
- A bachelor's degree in Surveying/Engineering or a related scientific field, or equivalent work experience.
- Licensure (L.S.) in one or more states where Timmons Group operates.
- 5 to 10 years of surveying experience.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D software.
- Experience creating Machine Control Models.
- Experience utilizing GPS/RTK technology.
- Understanding of project accounting, scheduling, and budgeting for multiple projects.
- Experience in client development and supervising technical staff, including field crews.
- Knowledge of technical and office support software relevant to the role.
