We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide electrical technical support for Northwest Region Operations, focusing on the safe and reliable operation of Enbridge GTM electrical assets. If you are an Electrical Engineer with high voltage expertise, this position offers an opportunity to collaborate with other technical specialists, leveraging a strong Electrical Engineering foundation and power industry experience.
Join our team to support operational needs and strategies to safely provide reliable natural gas supply.
- Efficiently supply technical aid to field operations and personnel in relation to relevant codes, processes, standards, and guidelines.
- Support or lead technical operations accountabilities such as preparing and approving work packages for engineering modifications, audits, reliability support, investigations, process improvements, and technical reviews.
- Provide technical support in emergency response situations and efforts.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop solutions for equipment and process reliability issues, and evaluate risks to prioritize project funding for optimal safety, integrity, and reliability impact.
- Routinely communicate with industry peers, vendors, manufacturers, project managers, and regional stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- You possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and are a Registered Professional Engineer with immediate eligibility for registration with EGBC.
- 7+ years of qualified experience in electrical engineering and power systems.
- Knowledge and in-depth understanding of control systems, electrical transmission, high voltage systems, natural gas power generation, and UPS systems.
- Proven experience with large industrial power systems (substation, large electric motor drives, variable frequency drives, and associated switch gear).
