Job Summary:

TheSenior Mechanical Engineerwill work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment responsible for designing building systems and producing construction documentation for institutional projects in the higher education, government and institutional facility markets. We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to be part of our team as we continue with our strong growth.

General Duties:

• Design HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, air handling units, ductwork, piping and controls.
• Develop mechanical system design calculations.
• Prepare detailed design documents in REVIT.
• Lead a project team and managing projects.
• Coordinate with Owners and Architects.
• Coordinate work with other disciplines.
• Complete code compliance research.
• Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers.
• Assist in the procurement of new work; including the development of client relations.

Skills:

• Excellent work ethic and attitude.
• Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work.
• Ability to lead a team as well as work as part of a team.
• You have experience with complex institutional projects.
• You are familiar with codes, standards and design guidelines.
• Proficient in Revit and MS Office.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Possess a Professional Engineer license, PE. – NOT REQUIRED BUT PREFERRED
