Position: Lead Automation Engineer (DeltaV) – Life Sciences

Location: Remote (Monthly travel to Richmond, VA)

About the Opportunity

Xperior Global is partnering with a large national system integrator delivering complex automation and control solutions across mission-critical and life sciences environments.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Lead Automation Engineer (Delta

V)
to support the delivery of high-impact pharmaceutical automation projects.

This is a key technical leadership role offering the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale automation systems within a highly regulated environment.

Role Overview

As a Lead Automation Engineer, you will take ownership of specific process areas, driving the technical delivery of Delta

V-based automation systems
within pharmaceutical manufacturing projects.

You will play a central role in ensuring successful system design, integration, and validation while collaborating across project teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of Delta

V batch automation systems

Provide technical leadership across large-scale pharmaceutical projects

Support system integration across:

  • Rockwell PLCs
  • PI Historian

Contribute to validation strategies and GMP-compliant documentation

Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery

Requirements
Core Experience

8+ years in pharmaceutical automation

5+ years working with Delta

V Batch DCS

Technical & Industry Knowledge

Strong understanding of:

  • GMP
  • Validation processes
  • Change management
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and system integration
Highly Desirable

Experience in regulated environments (GxP / GMP)

Knowledge of batch processes and S88 standards

Exposure to platforms such as:

  • Rockwell / Allen-Bradley
  • Ignition
  • Siemens or similar

Understanding of biopharmaceutical or life sciences processes
