Job Description
Would you like to be responsible for the installation and oversight of an automated intra-logistical warehouse system for the new LEGO manufacturing site? The Automation Engineer – Automated Warehouse will manage the automated equipment in the Materials Warehouse area, including conveyors, elevators, shuttle cars, robots, palletizers, lidders, and supporting equipment.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure the LEGO Production team meets reliability requirements through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of the automated equipment.
- Develop detailed maintenance work instructions, user documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
- Analyze and investigate equipment failures that affect product quality, uptime, and packing capacity.
- Serve as superuser for platforms such as PLC programming, HMI, COMBI 2.0 ERP, SAP and WMS.
- Create standardized approaches for robot programming, safety protocols, operator interfaces, and global implementations.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for automated warehouse operations.
- Lead engineering initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and costs.
- Generate Power BI reports aligned with equipment capacity.
- Perform risk and opportunity assessments of equipment.
- Oversee equipment life cycle.
- Map and standardize critical equipment parameters.
- Drive continuous improvement of machinery and processes.
- Maintain software updates for machinery to meet supplier and operational needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (preferred).
- Proficient PLC programming experience, preferably with Allen Bradley or Siemens.
- Experience with intra‑logistical systems, automatic retrieval systems, palletizers, rolling conveyors, lidders, and related equipment.
- Proven experience with WMS.
- Global travel: training at the Mexico site for 2 weeks on hire, plus 2 weeks before new site production.
- Work onsite 5 days a week.

Salary range: $84,674.00 – $, based on responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints.
