Senior Bridge Project Engineer – responsible for the structural design, analysis, and oversight of bridge projects ranging from highway overpasses to pedestrian walkways. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams ensures safety, compliance, and innovation in every project.

• Perform structural analysis and design of bridge components using industry‑standard software (AutoCAD, Micro Station, STAAD, Midas).
• Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Conduct load rating and stress analysis for new and existing structures.
• Review and check design calculations and drawings prepared by junior engineers.
• Coordinate with architects, geotechnical engineers, and construction teams.
• Ensure compliance with AASHTO, DOT, and other relevant codes and standards.
• Participate in field inspections and condition assessments of bridges.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and clients.
• Experience with VDOT and/or Virginia localities is preferred.

• Bachelor’s Degree in an AEC related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring engineering projects.
• Proven experience in project management roles with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast‑paced environment.

• Master’s Degree.

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• Pre‑employment drug screening is a condition of employment.
• Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based on position.
