Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician/CAD Designer to join our Land Development team.

As an Engineering Technician you will be responsible for using standard drafting practices and procedures, with a strong attention to detail, to assist with tasks related to a variety of engineering and construction projects. You will modify and create design plans and drawings using computer‑aided design (CAD) programs under the direction of a designer or engineer.

• Reviews project scope and confers with project engineer concerning tasks required such as plan preparation, evaluation of field conditions, design requirements, and/or reports
• Uses computer equipment including engineering and design modeling software to prepare engineering and design documents
• Supports and communicates with engineers, project managers and other supervisors throughout all stages of the drafting, design and construction process
• Creates, edits, and modifies CAD drawings
• Applies Westwood Company CAD standard, practices, and procedures in creating and modifying CAD drawings
• Collaborates in a team environment
• Coordinates filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents
• Plots and checks drawings
• Is willing to take on other duties as assigned
• Performs basic design tasks

• Basic engineering knowledge along with current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes and regulations
• Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other discipline‑specific software
• Possesses basic mathematical skills and analytical abilities
• Attention to detail, self‑motivated and a team player
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam
• Willingness to learn and grow is a must

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience
• Experience and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Design skills and knowledge
• 1–5 years of industry‑specific Land Development experience
