Senior Project Manager, Water
Location:
Richmond, VA (Hybrid work model with regular attendance at the Richmond office)
- Prepare proposals, budgets, and client agreements.
- Lead and oversee design and technical aspects of projects, including detailed engineering design, calculations, report writing, permitting, and client presentations.
- Write responses to client RFQs and solicitations.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials, and community leaders.
- Coordinate and monitor project tasks, budgets, and schedules.
- Participate in the development of company design and production standards.
- Direct and manage the implementation of a project, coordinating with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and other external and internal parties to achieve project milestones.
- Oversee and manage construction phases to ensure work is completed in accordance with contract documents, on time and within budget.
- Support client marketing and business development activities required to procure assignments, including development of scope, schedule, and budget for proposals.
- Mentor staff and lead development of other project managers.
- Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in the State of Virginia.
- 15 or more years’ experience managing substantial water and wastewater projects from conception to completion.
- Strong project management skills and a successful record of delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and meeting client expectations.
- Ability to provide oversight and guidance of project management fundamentals.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and prepare written reports.
- Knowledge of potable water treatment and wastewater treatment.
- Knowledge of local codes, development processes, and utility regulations.
- Proven ability to manage projects and deliver on time and within budget.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials, and community leaders.
- Proven ability to lead a team of engineers and technical professionals.
- Active involvement in professional associations and civic organizations.
The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $175,000, dependent on experience and geographic location.
