Outside Plant Design Project Manager

Must Have Skills (Most Important):

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years work experience.
• Knowledge of PC and software applications including Windows, MS Office, and Google Suite.

Desired

Skills:

• Ability to understand and communicate new technologies, equipment and systems as related to FTTP Design, Construction and provisioning functions.
• Strong Background in Outside Plant Engineering and Construction
• Project Management experience across multiple work groups and turfs.
• Excellent verbal and written skills for inter-organizational and external customer communications.
• Strong background in contractor management including: PAR creation, invoice review and processing associated with Engineering SOW Contracts.
• Strong organization skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion.
• Experience with making independent decisions based on policies, practices and project requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Duties:

• Driving complex projects and programs to achieve targeted and measured business goals and key objectives.
• MXU project initiation including partnering with Client Enhanced Communities for premise access license (PAL) negotiations as well as direct communication with Property Owners and Developers.
• Interfacing with the Local Construction Managers, Area Managers, Directors, Customers, Local Contacts, Sales Contacts as well as Engineering Planners, Coordinators, Supervisors and Engineering Associates.
• Developing and implementing corrective action plans to mitigate impact to project schedules and overall business objectives.
• Maintaining excellent communication with functional team members, direct management and external customers to ensure early identification of issues and providing timely reporting of status.
• Oversight of Engineering Vendor resources including assigning projects, processing invoices, monitoring productivity and quality performance.
