We're seeking a Civil Aviation Engineer to work on a wide-variety of large-scale aviation design projects including plan preparation, design development, and quantity take-offs, while collecting and evaluating important project data.
You'll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business. Jacob's hybrid work model allows for you to maximize your work-life balance while enabling you to successfully deliver complex solutions for some of our nation's largest airports. Our Aviation Team is experiencing exciting growth within our established practice with a variety of interesting projects working with a diverse, multidisciplined team!

When you join us, you'll be responsible for the following:
- Work under the supervision of senior staff to perform quantity takeoffs, computer modeling, design calculations, and plan set production for military and commercial airfields including, but not limited to, such disciplines as earthwork, pavements, and drainage.
- Work closely on project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his/her discipline group.
- Assists with other duties assigned by Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.
- Limited travel associated with this position approximately 10-20% to support our Nation-wide airport projects.
- Attend and/or conduct client meetings and interacts with clients both virtually and in-person.
- Provide engineering services that include design research and design reviews.
Here's what you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Previous professional experience in the design and/or construction of aviation infrastructure projects.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
- Registered EIT (Engineer-in-Training) or have the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Ability to efficiently utilize time in executing assigned tasks accurately and on time.
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
Ideally, you'll also have:
- Previous design project management experience
- CADD skills including AutoCAD
- Professional Engineer (PE)
