This position reports to:

Engineering Manager__The work model for the role is:
Onsite, Richmond, VAYour role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to implement the standard designs of equipment, systems, or installations, including standard specifications for manufacturing, fabrication, or construction, using standard design concepts. Each day, you will review and implement engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to contract specifications. You will also showcase your expertise by contributing to design reviews, design verification, and modifications, as necessary.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Review and Implement engineering changes across products and coordinating the deliverables between cross functional teams;
Contribute to design/manufacturing reviews and verification, providing feedback on modifications as needed

Ensure the manufacturing line has the support required to meet market demand by monitoring, creating/verifying work instructions, and taking a proactive approach to remove barriers that would impede achieving this goal

Lead, correct, and monitor all data related to power protection products using the manufacturing unit’s PLM/ERP systems such as setting up, tacking and maintaining material master data, manufacturing bill of materials (mBOM), product costing and optimization.

Work with others cross-functionally to deliver designs in a timely manner with high-quality deliverables that meet customer expectations and project requirements;
Work directly with cross functional team to implement, localize, and outsource products and manufacturing opportunities.

Qualifications for the role Bachelor degree in electrical/mechanical engineering, preferred

Minimum 5 years experience in lean manufacturing, operations or engineering

Knowledge of electromechanical design, detail part drawings, assembly drawings and schematics, and design for manufacturing in all the above

Experience interpreting and applying electrical safety standards (UL/IEC, etc.), a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, SAP, (PTC Windchill, a plus)
Proficient in Excel Data analysis and Reports;

Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Experience in CAD/Solid Works, a plus Strong multitasking and organizational skills; must be goals oriented, analytic, and methodical
