Garver’s Buildings team seeks an Electrical Engineer to assess existing facilities and develop electrical designs for building projects. The engineer will investigate, plan, design, and commission building electrical, lighting, telecommunications, security, and fire alarm systems. The role coordinates with other disciplines, regional offices, and project managers, follows QA/QC plans, and requires travel to project locations.

• Assess existing facilities and develop electrical and systems designs
• Investigate, plan, design, and commission electrical, lighting, telecommunications, security, and fire alarm systems
• Coordinate with support disciplines and regional offices
• Assist project managers in project management and QA/QC adherence
• Travel to project locations as required

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering with an electrical focus from an ABET‑accredited institution
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
• 5 to 15 years of building design and construction industry experience
• Experience overseeing electrical designs, including detailed plans and specifications for building projects
• Technical competence in building electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, and telecommunications)
• Experience with Autodesk Revit
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Ability to perform electrical calculations and use CAD/BIM software to produce construction drawings
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, maintain accurate project accounting, and adhere to QA/QC plans
• Commitment to continuous education and learning based on project needs

• Experience as an engineer sub‑consultant for architectural building design firms
