Civil Project Engineer II​/III - Structure & Bridge Design

Job Description

Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Structures and Bridge Design Group in Richmond, VA. This is a great opportunity to work on routine and complex structures including bridges, buildings, renewable energy, and ancillary structure designs.

• Perform rehabilitation designs for bridges and buildings
• Conduct bridge load ratings and evaluations
• Support project planning including scope, schedule, and budget development
• Assist in project and task management
• Contribute to marketing efforts and proposal development

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in structural and/or bridge design
• PE License is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation, and NCDOT standards
• Proficiency in structural design software
• Experience with Micro Station and/or AutoCAD for plan development
• NBIS bridge inspection certification is a plus

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position is $82,000-$90,000. Offers are based on a range of job-related factors such as internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials, and role complexity.
