AMT is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager
, with 7+ years of relevant experience, to join our growing team of design professionals in our Richmond, VA office. The right candidate would lead water resources engineering tasks for transportation-related projects for VDOT, MDSHA, NCDOT, SCDOT and Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolina localities.

Responsibilities- Completion of calculations, reports and plans in support of transportation projects including stormwater management, storm drainage systems, culverts, open channels, bridge hydraulics and erosion and sediment control.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and reporting.
- Obtain permit approvals from state and local agencies.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering documents (plans, reports, cost estimates and specifications) for advertisement and construction.
- Meet and work directly with clients and public agency officials.
- Work in collaboration with a transportation design team comprised of other disciplines and support staff on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Provide QA/QC review following AMT and client-based procedures.
- BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Water Resources.
- Minimum 7 years of water resources related experience including plan and report production.
- Hydrology and hydraulic modeling experience (storm drainage, SWM, floodplain, bridge) with commonly used software.
- Virginia or Maryland Professional Engineer license required. North Carolina-licensed Professional Engineer Preferred, South Carolina PE Preferred.
- CADD experience with Micro Station/Open Roads required.
- Excellent organizational, coordination and communication skills, both written and verbal.
