Our client, a leading energy technology and power generation company, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be part of the Steam Power Services Engineering Department supporting Field Engineering, Service Management, Parts Engineering, and Global Steam Turbine Engineering Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and project management expertise, which will align successfully in the organization.

Richmond, VA 23237 Pay Range: $57/hr

• Provide engineering support for steam turbine outage planning and execution activities.
• Support field engineers, service managers, and customer-facing teams with technical guidance.
• Lead small to moderate complexity steam turbine service projects and engineering studies.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions for product and process issues.
• Partner with sourcing, parts engineering, and global design teams to ensure product quality and reliability.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of Steam Turbine Service Engineering experience.
• At least 1 year of field execution experience within power generation or related industries.
• Experience with steam turbine outage planning, inspections, repairs, and operations.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, communication, and project management skills.
