Overview:

We are seeking a Construction MEP Engineer with a proven track record in data center construction. This role demands a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical systems, deep understanding of controls and infrastructure engineering, and the ability to manage complex field execution. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and proactive problem-solver who thrives in high-stakes environments.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing all field-related MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) mission-critical activities and collaborating closely with project managers and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership in MEP systems across all phases of data center construction.

Ensure all project elements align with evolving construction standards and best practices.

Resolve site-based conflicts and coordinate RFIs with design teams to remove blockers to schedule.

Manage vendor relationships and align construction execution with project objectives.

Champion job site safety, and ensure quality, schedule, and cost targets are consistently met.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as IT, Legal, Engineering, and Risk Management to uphold project governance.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

Research, design, develop, and test MEP systems, tools, and machinery.

Review design proposals, specifications, and manuals to assess feasibility and budgeting.

Diagnose equipment issues and provide actionable feedback to maintenance teams.

Collaborate with drafting teams and contribute to structural designs using CAD tools and Bluebeam.

Maintain detailed documentation and ensure alignment with design blueprints and technical standards.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).

10+ years of relevant experience in MEP or data center construction roles.

Strong skills in blueprint reading, technical drawing interpretation, and engineering calculations.

Familiarity with CAD software, Bluebeam, and other construction-related digital tools.

Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and team collaboration mindset.

Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
