Recruitment Type: General Public - G

Works directly with the Central Office Sample Verification Manager to provide field
office oversight of the sample verification program. Protects the public health by
ensuring that water quality samples collected for compliance with the federal Safe
Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and the Waterworks Regulations are accurately
collected, analyzed, and reported by public waterworks and certified laboratories.
This is accomplished through quality assurance and quality control checks,
including record reviews, site visits, split sampling, and requests for corrective
actions. Serves as the subject matter expert for sampling processes and procedures
for the entire field office. May assist the field office with surveillance, site visits and
sanitary surveys, compliance, enforcement, and providing technical assistance,
when available.

Preferred Qualifications:

Employment is contingent upon satisfactory results of a state and federal criminal history background check and the Department of Social Service’s Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry check, U.S. HHSIG Exclusion List check, employment reference check and E-Verify. Other financial, credit, driving, background checks or completion of Statement of Economic Interests may be required for certain positions.
