Job Description

You will join our Water Infrastructure & Climate Adaptation group In joining our team, you will be part of an internationally leading company within the area of climate resilience with professionals working in a collaborative environment in the areas of Climate Resilience and Cloudburst Planning;
Flood Reduction and Risk Mitigation, including use of Blue-Green- infrastructure (BGI), Nature-Based-Solutions and other Protection Measures;
Watershed Management Plans; and Integrated Infrastructure Planning and Design.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
The position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Provides technical, project delivery, and financial oversight/guidance to project team;
  • Provides hydraulic and hydraulic practice area leadership and vision for staff;
  • Finds opportunities for continual improvement in our business processes;
  • Demonstrates ability to obtain repeat business from existing clients and performs as trusted client advisor;
  • Coaches project team members to develop their project performance and technical skills, in collaboration with Division/People Managers;
  • Proficient at developing project scope, schedule and budget, and assembling and managing project team/resources that are proficient in the technical aspects of the project.
  • Leads or assists in identifying and pursuing business development opportunities within service lines, spearheads, sectors, key accounts and/or growth initiatives;
  • Actively engaged in client development, cross market, cross service line/spearhead and/or cross geography collaboration;
  • Directs or manages the development, planning, execution and provide quality assurance of medium to large hydraulic studies of varying complexities, focusing on drainage basins, watersheds, and stormwater systems;
Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer certification/registration
  • B.S. Degree or higher degree in Water Resources, Civil, or equivalent engineering field.
  • 15+ years in consulting experience
  • Expert knowledge of hydraulics and hydrology and demonstrated ability to advise and review attribute data and results for various open channel, surface flow, and closed-conduit hydraulic models, including but not limited to:
    Infoworks ICM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and SWMM
  • Experience with local, state and federal stormwater and floodplain permitting programs.
  • Experience in H&H teams and providing H&H expertise in support of sewer conveyance and separation, stormwater management, green infrastructure, inland/riverine/coastal flood resiliency, floodplain restoration, watershed management, water quality, and sediment transport and management studies and projects.
