Now casting for the production "Not My Monkey"

ONLY DC, MD & LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Rate: $95 per performance; $18/hour for rehearsal.

About the project:
Trouble under the big top! The new ringleader wants to do a good job leading her zany crew of circus folk, but there's a new problem every time she turns around, and no one wants to pitch in or even try to get along. To make matters worse, the monkeys have broken loose and are wreaking havoc everywhere! How can a community work together to solve its problems, when everyone thinks it's not their problem to solve?

Everyone in the audience gets into the act right from where they're sitting, becoming part of the community of performers and townspeople who need to tackle this hair-raising problem.

Educational tour throughout MD, DC, and VA.

• Tuesday, July 14, 6:30–9:00 PM — Silver Spring, MD.
• Wednesday, July 15, 6:30–9:00 PM — Silver Spring, MD.
• Saturday, July 18, 9:30 AM–2:30 PM — Washington, DC.

Zoom auditions may be available based on auditor availability. No self-tapes. Prepare the sides (emailed after signing up for an audition slot).

• Actors may be asked to engage in a short movement and/or improv moment.
• Actors for Actor 1 and Actor 2 roles will be asked to sing 8–16 bars a cappella.
• Movement, clowning, improv, and TYA/teaching artist experience especially encouraged to audition.

First rehearsal: mid-February 2027.

Performances:
March 20–late May 2027, in schools and locations throughout the DMV region. Average 2 performances per week, with time off for spring break. Performances typically during the school day, with occasional after‑school, evening, and weekend performances.
