Overview
Richmond Capital Management is seeking an experienced investment professional to join its portfolio management team with a primary focus on real estate credit and securitized products. This role will be part of a collaborative portfolio management structure, contributing to investment research, relative-value analysis, risk management, and portfolio construction across client portfolios and commingled funds.
Responsibilities, title, and compensation will be calibrated according to experience. The successful candidate will work closely with senior portfolio managers and sector specialists in a shared decision-making environment, with meaningful input into investment strategy and trade decisions.

Key ResponsibilitiesScope of responsibilities will depend on experience and seniority.
- Conduct credit, structural, and collateral analysis of real estate-related securitized products, including Agency RMBS/CMBS, private-label CMBS, GNMA construction-related MBS, REIT and other real-estate-backed debt instruments
- Contribute to investment strategy, relative-value analysis, and sector positioning within a collaborative portfolio management framework
- Participate in portfolio construction, risk management, and trade implementation across separate accounts and commingled funds
- Monitor market developments, deal pipelines, and macroeconomic trends impacting real estate credit and securitized markets
- Work closely with senior portfolio managers, traders, and analysts across asset classes
- Gain exposure to additional fixed income sectors, including investment-grade and high-yield corporate credit, derivatives, real estate development finance, and mortgage-related structures
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, real estate, or a related field
- 5–10+ years of relevant experience, depending on level, in real estate credit, securitized products, or related fixed income markets
- Demonstrated experience performing credit analysis and investment research on real-estate-backed debt or structured products
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and written communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a team-based, investment-driven environment
- CFA charter, MBA, or Master’s degree in Real Estate or Finance
- Experience with construction-related real estate development financing
- Exposure to HUD lending programs, mortgage insurance, bridge financing, LIHTC/HTC, or other structured real estate credit
- Buy-side experience working with institutional clients such as endowments, public pensions, or multi-employer union retirement plans
