Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely collections, and supporting the overall accounts receivable operations. Responsibilities:

- Process and monitor accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

- Manage commercial collections, including reaching out to clients to resolve outstanding payments.

- Perform cash application tasks, ensuring proper allocation of payments.

- Handle cash collection activities to support timely reconciliation of accounts.

- Execute billing functions with precision and attention to detail.

- Utilize Sage Intacct software for financial recordkeeping and reporting.

- Review debit and credit entries to maintain accurate account balances.

- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

- Generate and analyze accounts receivable reports to provide insights into financial performance.

- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable operations, including commercial collections.

- Proficiency in cash applications and cash collection processes.

- Strong understanding of billing functions and financial reconciliation.

- Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.

- Knowledge of debit and credit accounting principles.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
