Overview
A Finance Officer is wanted for a passionate team, to play a pivotal role in managing the finance function and supporting the governance and administration of this local charity.
This is a unique opportunity to manage the finances of a thriving charity, Home-Start Richmond, Kingston & Hounslow, whilst also working closely with the Board of Trustees and the Senior Management Team to support governance and operational administration, and ensuring the charity is enabled to run seamlessly and deliver impactful support to local families.
Responsibilities- manage the day to day finances of the charity and provide timely and accurate accounts & reports
- service the Board of Trustees in consultation with the CEO and maintain trustee records
- support operations, for example ensuring operational policies and equipment are up to date and fit for purpose, and to support the operations team with office management.
- full or part qualified or working towards a relevant accountancy qualification & experience of managing day to day finances and accounts
- experience working with trustees and experience managing operational processes
- strong planning and organisational skills with ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines
- a genuine interest in the needs of children and families and delivering responsive family support that makes a difference to families’ lives.
The team works flexibly, with a hybrid model and one day in the office as a team (currently Wednesdays) in Central Richmond.
