The Pricing Compliance Analyst IV supports the Director of Pricing Compliance and leads review and audit activities associated with ensuring the company pricing strategies adhere to internal policies, industry regulations, and legal standards to maintain an acceptable Cost Estimating System within the Federal contracting environment.
Principal Responsibilities:- Performs quality assurance reviews, ensures adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Truth Cost or Pricing Data (TCoPD) requirements, and ensures cost/price volume components are accurate and responsive to solicitation requirements.
- Handles the most complex, high-stakes, or non-standard pricing scenarios, likely serving as the final compliance checkpoint before submission or execution.
- Analyzes, identifies, and remediates compliance risks within pricing models and contract terms.
- Coordinates with internal business units and supports requests from government auditors.
- Enhances the compliance culture by developing and delivering training, supporting the Director of Pricing Compliance with mentorship, and educating staff and field personnel performing pricing related activities.
- Conducts comprehensive internal audits, scrutinizing proposal pricing records to confirm accurate transaction recording.
- Identifies potential risks, trends, and areas necessitating direction or standardization across the team; prepares reports and suggestions for management.
- Provides pricing guidance and support, as required, to generate reports, monitor metrics, and provide data-driven insights to leadership regarding compliance trends and findings.
- Performs pricing organization initiatives designed to promote quality standards and build efficiencies.
- Improves efficiency by streamlining workflow, updating SharePoint resources, and implementing better control mechanisms.
- May include other pricing operations activities as assigned.
- Extensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Ability to interpret regulatory guidance and apply it to financial data.
- Ability to perform internal audits, risk assessment, and maintain data integrity to prevent penalties. Meticulous approach to identifying errors in large, complex datasets.
- Understanding proposal development, with ability to review pricing narrative responses for contract cost and pricing principles that translates efforts into acquiring new and follow-on business.
- Understanding of Federal Government defense contract pricing with extensive knowledge of the components of basis of estimates.
- Working knowledge of U.S. Government structure and agency acquisition procedures and policies, contract management systems, and data structures.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality material with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have sound decision-making and good judgment skills. Ability to clearly explain complex regulatory requirements to internal stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
- Advanced Excel and mathematical skills, general Microsoft office suite working knowledge.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform detail‑oriented work, to meet delivery dates and achieve objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8+ years; or Master’s and 5+ years of proposal pricing or financial experience. Additional education may be substituted for experience or additional experience may be substituted for education (generally 2 years of experience equals 1 year of education).
