Senior Financial Manager Lead

Location: National Capital Region (NCR)

Clearance: Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)

Education: Bachelor's degree

Experience: 10 years

Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Manager Lead provides senior financial management, budget analysis, financial milestone tracking, and leadership of financial analysts in support of a defense mission environment. The position requires strong financial analysis experience, the ability to train and guide analysts, and demonstrated competency in anticipating and solving complex financial, administrative, and program management issues.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Lead financial management activities involving budget formulation, planning, programming, budgeting, execution, analysis, reporting and milestone tracking.
  • Serve as a senior financial analyst and team lead responsible for guiding, training and reviewing financial analyst work products.
  • Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving financial, administrative and program management problems.
  • Track technical and financial milestones, identify variances, assess impacts and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct web-based research and analysis using modern PC-based techniques, systems, tools, spreadsheets, databases and reporting products.
  • Support PPBE activities, budget execution reviews, funding analysis, spend plan development, reconciliation and management reporting.
  • Prepare financial briefings, analyses, summaries, decision-support products and status reports tailored to senior audiences.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or business-related field required
  • Ten (10) years of specialized experience in budget formulation, planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE) required.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience with DAI is required.
  • Experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAP) is required.
  • Experience in a financial analyst role as well as leading and training financial analysts.
  • Demonstrated creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving financial, administrative and program management problems.
  • Experience tracking technical and financial milestones.
  • Knowledge and competence in web-based research and analysis using modern PC computer techniques, systems and tools.
  • Experience in budget formulation, planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE).
  • DoW experience required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s in Business, Finance or Accounting is Preferred.
  • Experience supporting DARPA, DoD, S&T, RDT&E or advanced national security programs.
  • Experience preparing senior-level financial briefings, spend plans, budget exhibits, execution reports or milestone dashboards.
  • Experience with financial systems, analytical tools and data visualization products used in Government program management.
Travel

Occasional local and CONUS travel for financial reviews, program reviews, budget coordination and customer meetings.
