Financial Manager
Position Overview
Corp Financial Manager manages finance operations and supervises accounting, non-patient billing, cash receipts, asset management, capital projects, budgeting, month-end close and financial reporting.
Responsibilities- Oversee accounting operations, including production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, comprehensive controls and budgets to mitigate risk and enhance accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS as appropriate.
- Ensure systems and procedures support effective program implementation and audits.
- Work closely with program leaders and staff to educate them on finance/accounting procedures and explore how finance can support operations.
- Work independently to maintain current work and adapt to new procedures/systems.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Continued EmploymentCertified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Experience- Minimum 5 years of general accounting or finance work experience.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in financial and accounting software applications.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and PC.
- Preferred: accounting/financial work experience in a healthcare setting.
- Preferred: experience with GAAP, federal and state financial regulations, financial data analysis, reports, statements, projections.
- Preferred: advanced computer skills and financial analysis.
- Preferred: budget forecasting experience.
- Preferred: public accounting and/or tax experience.
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field from an accredited program. - Preferred:
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or closely related field from an accredited program.
Supervises and manages all personnel issues of staff, including approving time-off requests, performance evaluations, workload management, time record approval, and handling other personnel issues.
AdditionalPosition Requirements
May be required to work evenings and/or weekends during seasonal and periodic requirements.
Physical RequirementsLifting 20-50 lbs. Prolonged standing, sitting, bending, repetitive motion. Sensory: strong recall, reasoning, problem solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, reading, logical thinking. Emotional: fast pace environment, steady pace, handle multiple priorities, intense customer interactions, adapt to frequent change. Use of assistance devices as appropriate.
