Senior Manager, Financial Analysis
We are seeking an analytic problem solver and curiosity-driven leader to join our Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (“AI/ML”) Technology Finance Team. As a Senior Manager, Financial Analysis, you will be responsible for financial forecasting, executive reporting and presentation, relationship building, and managing and developing junior associates. You will manage P&L performance and provide Technology, Product, and Design Leadership with financial insights to influence strategy and drive business outcomes.
You will support teams that are responsible for some of the most impactful work at Capital One.
Specifics of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Be a leader on the AI/ML Tech finance team by supporting talent development, team agenda, and driving outcomes that have a big impact
- Be a strategic advisor to the AI/ML Tech organization and integrate into the leadership team for the specific areas you support
- ‘Tell the story’ of financial results and forecasts within the context of business priorities
- Build relationships across the organization in order to deliver on Tech’s AI/ML agenda
- Provide financial leadership to the team and key partners by leveraging financial insights to influence actions and results
- Communicate analytic insights through clear, high impact, “executive-ready” presentations
General Responsibilities:
- Attract, manage, coach, and develop direct reports
- Create connections across the team and organization to drive collaboration
- Ownership of budget and forecast accuracy for areas of responsibility
- Leverage sound business judgment to evaluate analytical results and formulate recommendations
- Accurately analyze & explain key cost drivers and annual financial trajectory
- Provide strategic insights and suggest actions to business and finance partners
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 7 years of experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, or a combination
- At least 3 years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
- At least 1 year of people management experience
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- 5+ years experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
- 2+ years of people management experience
- 1+ year of people management experience managing both direct and indirect reports

Salary ranges by location:
- McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800
- Richmond, VA: $161,500 - $184,300
Role is eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
