The OpportunityThe Finance Manager serves as a strategic partner to business leaders, delivering financial insights that drive performance and support enterprise-wide initiatives. This role requires a strong analytical foundation, business acumen, and the ability to influence through data and storytelling.
The Finance Manager is a key contributor in a critical environment and may direct the work of others without formal management responsibilities. The senior analyst is expected to use judgment and anticipate change in addition to developing resolutions to complex problems.
The finance professional exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment and completes them to fruition without supervision.
Job Responsibilities- Leads financial planning, including forecasting and budgeting
- Conducts in-depth variance analysis and identifies performance drivers
- Develops and maintains complex financial models and dashboards
- Partners with cross-functional teams to align on financial goals and assumptions
- Prepares executive-level summaries and presentations
- Supports strategic initiatives with financial analysis and recommendations
- Actively seeks out ways to improve processes and outcomes for the business
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

- Highly analytical with a deep understanding of financial levers
- Advanced Excel and modeling capabilities
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to varying levels of stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Collaborative, service-oriented, and team-focused
- High social and emotional intelligence with experience influencing stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate challenges
- Comfortable challenging the status quo to drive better outcomes
- BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- MBA or CPA preferred
- Hybrid or On-site position with some work performed from home. The person selected will need to be able to work in the office 2-3 times per week. If the candidate selected wishes to work from the Richmond office 100% of the time, this can also be accommodated.
- Position may require up to two trips per year for major business meetings or conferences.
