Overview

Senior Finance Associate – Capital One Shopping. The role provides strategic and financial advisory support to a fast‑growing business, turning complex data into actionable insights that drive its strategic direction.

• Full P&L Ownership
  :
  Manage financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and profit & loss (P&L) optimization.
• Strategic Advisory
  :
  Articulate the financial impacts of both short and long‑term business visions.
• Process Transformation
  :
  Evaluate and optimize existing workflows; build more proactive, automated financial infrastructure and identify expense‑saving opportunities.

• Experience or desire to leverage AI and technical tools such as SQL, Python, Snowflake, and internal systems (Xtream, Finsight, Coupa).
• Strong ability to synthesize dense data into a clear, compelling story for senior audiences.
• Self‑directed problem solving and critical questioning.
• Collaboration across cross‑functional teams.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent military experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in financial analysis.
• At least 2 years of experience with financial modeling.

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance.
• CFA or CPA license.
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis and modeling.
• Experience with GSuite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Experience with Enterprise AI Tools (Gemini, Claude).
• Experience with internal financial systems (Xtream, Finsight, Coupa).

Minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries:

• McLean, VA – $96,500 – $110,100
• Richmond, VA – $87,700 – $100,100
