The OpportunityOur client is seeking an experienced Associate to join its Credit & Investment team. This role is a key part of the transaction review and underwriting process, providing financial analysis, investment evaluation, and portfolio management support.
The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, intellectually curious, and comfortable forming independent investment recommendations. This position offers significant exposure to executive leadership and internal investment decision-making while working closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Perform financial analysis of prospective and existing portfolio companies
- Lead due diligence discussions with management teams and key stakeholders
- Prepare credit memorandums and investment recommendations
- Present underwriting findings to investment committees and senior leadership
- Assist with portfolio management, credit monitoring, and exposure analysis
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging risks
- Support strategic initiatives and special projects for executive leadership
- Collaborate with internal teams to support transaction execution and client service
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in investment banking, commercial banking, corporate finance, private credit, lending, underwriting, or a related financial discipline
- Strong financial modeling and financial statement analysis skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities
- Experience evaluating investment, lending, or underwriting opportunities
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of ownership, accountability, and initiative
