Position Summary
The Commercial Finance Manager – North America is the financial voice of the commercial business, serving as the senior partner to sales, marketing, and operations leadership on demand‑side decisions: what we’re selling, at what price, to whom, and at what margin. The role owns the North America forecasting process, leads pricing strategy and margin management, and builds the reporting infrastructure that gives leadership real visibility into commercial performance.

North America Sales and Operations Leadership, Product Line Managers, Customer Service, Global BI Team, IT
- Forecasting & Financial Planning – Run the North America commercial forecasting process, govern the monthly forecast cycle, challenge assumptions, lead accountability across sales and operations, and drive the annual operating plan. Continuously improve tools and capabilities to increase forecasting accuracy and usefulness.
- Pricing Strategy & Margin Management – Own pricing alongside Product Line Managers; lead inflation recovery, execute customer pricing actions, govern contract pricing, build analytical frameworks to identify margin drivers, support major customer negotiations, and evaluate/implement pricing technology.
- Commercial Reporting & Business Intelligence – Deliver the monthly executive commercial reporting package, build and maintain dashboards and KPI tools, and ensure data consistency across a complex multi‑system environment (Board, SAP, IQMS, Pick, Planful, and other platforms). Maintain a technology and automation agenda to improve reporting.
- Team & Cross‑Functional Leadership – Lead a team of two analysts, responsible for their development and performance. Partner regularly with sales, marketing, customer service, operations, IT, and global finance, acting as a true business partner rather than a reporter of numbers.
- Travel:
Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% based on business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive finance experience with meaningful time in a commercial finance, finance, or FP&A function within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated ownership of a forecasting process.
- Experience in pricing and margin management; comfortable owning customer pricing actions and building profitability frameworks.
- Systems fluency – manage data across multiple ERP and BI platforms, identify inconsistencies, and drive toward cleaner outputs.
- Strong financial modeling skills and executive‑level communication ability.
- Experience managing and developing finance team members.
- Familiarity with Board, Planful, SAP, JD Edwards, or similar platforms.
- Experience with BI reporting automation, dashboard development, or data integration initiatives.
- Prior involvement in pricing software evaluation or implementation.
- Background supporting commercial negotiations or working directly alongside sales leadership.
- A genuine business partner; sales and operations leaders actually want you in the room.
- Commercially curious; interested in why the business performs the way it does.
- Systems‑minded; sees data fragmentation as a problem worth solving and has the technical depth to act.
- Structured and reliable – manages a demanding monthly cadence without losing accuracy.
- Developer of people – raises the capability of the team around them.
Anticipated starting salary is $125,000 plus bonus. Final compensation may be higher and will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, and overall value brought to the organization.
