We are partnering with a growing financial services organization seeking an Associate to join its Restructuring & Special Situations team. This individual will play a key role in evaluating underperforming investments, assessing complex financial situations, and supporting restructuring initiatives across a diverse portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges, conducting detailed financial analysis, and working closely with senior leaders on strategic initiatives. The role offers significant visibility, broad exposure across business functions, and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact decisions.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze distressed, underperforming, and special situation investments
  • Perform financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and credit assessments
  • Evaluate restructuring alternatives and develop recommendations for senior leadership
  • Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging risks and opportunities
  • Participate in negotiations, workouts, and restructuring processes when applicable
  • Prepare investment memoranda, management presentations, and financial reporting materials
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and business partners
  • Support strategic projects and initiatives related to portfolio optimization and risk management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 3-7 years of experience in restructuring, turnaround consulting, transaction advisory, credit analysis, investment analysis, corporate finance, or a related discipline
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret complex financial and operational information
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
