Client Services Associate – Entry Level | Richmond, VA

Prospect Blue seeks an entry-level Client Services Associate for our wealth management firm client in Richmond, Virginia!

About the Opportunity:

Prospect Blue’s client, a highly respected wealth management firm in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking a smart, outgoing, and motivated individual to join its team in an entry-level client service and administrative support role.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to build a long-term career in wealth management
. The ideal candidate will be a genuine “people person” who enjoys working with clients and colleagues, has a strong academic background and understanding of finance, and is eager to learn and grow within the business.

The successful candidate will initially provide front-office, administrative, and operational support while working alongside experienced Client Service Associates and financial advisors.
Over time, this individual will have the opportunity to grow into a full Client Services Associate position with increasing responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and guests at the office and provide a professional, welcoming first impression.
  • Serve as a professional and friendly presence at the front desk and provide coverage as needed.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and assist with general client inquiries.
  • Support the financial advisor and Client Service Associate teams with day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Assist with maintaining and organizing client records and documentation in accordance with industry regulations.
  • Assist with operational projects and special assignments across the wealth management team.
  • Prepare client presentations and materials, including operating a binding machine and assisting with presentation assembly.
  • Work with spreadsheets and assist with basic data entry, tracking, and record keeping.
  • Learn and utilize the firm's CRM and other technology systems.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, advisors, and internal team members.
  • Take initiative to learn the business and progressively assume additional responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
    , preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in finance, investments, wealth management, or financial services
    .
  • Prior financial services or investment advisory experience is a plus, but not required
    .
  • Strong academic record and ability to understand and learn financial concepts.
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outgoing, personable, and comfortable interacting with clients and colleagues.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
    .
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and learning new technology and CRM systems.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong character, work ethic, and a genuine desire to learn and build a career in wealth management
    .
  • A team-oriented attitude and willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities.

Compensation:

  • Estimated salary range: $50,000–$60,000 per year
