Community Finance (CF) Loan and Equity Administration Servicing - Principal Associate

Capital One’s Community Finance team originates debt and equity to support affordable housing development. Community Finance provides debt financing and invests in low‑income housing credits through proprietary and multi‑fund equity fund structures. The Loan Equity Administration team is responsible for the daily activities of the CF Loan and Equity operations and the Community Impact & Investment (CII) Teams (Loan Closing, Loan Booking, Construction Funding, Perm Loans and Equity Administration) to ensure the accuracy of loan and LIHTC equity assets from the closing process through payoff and working with several internal partners to ensure a scalable and well‑managed business.
The Equity Closer and Servicing associate will report to the Equity Operations Team Lead and manage the end‑to‑end equity closing process, post‑closing administration, and ongoing equity servicing requirements.
Primary Responsibilities- Manage the end‑to‑end equity closing process, including preparing checklists, technical review of documentation (Operating Agreements, Tax Opinions), and coordinating with internal/external partners to ensure all conditions are met.
- Monitor equity performance, including capital calls, benchmarks, and due diligence, while preparing funding packages and tracking social purpose grant disbursements.
- Perform post‑closing administration, including system setup, tracking closing binders, and verifying transaction compliance with credit approval requirements.
- Provide support for debt and equity servicing tasks, including clearing exceptions and responding to audit requests.
- Communicate with peers and business partners regarding transactions and exceptions.
- Effectively and appropriately communicate and escalate problems/issues, updates on daily workflow, associate performance and issue resolution.
- Clear exceptions as needed and respond to audit requests.
- Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification.
- At least 4 years of Loan Closing, Loan Servicing, Construction Loan, or LIHTC equity experience, or a combination.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience.
- 5+ years of Loan Closing or Loan Servicing experience, experience or a combination of the two.
- 3+ years of experience reviewing loan or legal documentation or a combination of the two.

The minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. The salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part‑time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
