The Marketing Analyst supports the Natural Gas, Crude Oil, and NGL Marketing team by providing market analysis, commercial reporting, forecasting support, and data-driven insights. This role assists in evaluating commodity pricing, market conditions, transportation performance, and revenue opportunities to support marketing and commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly commercial reports.
- Monitor natural gas, crude oil, and NGL pricing and market trends.
- Analyze realized pricing, basis differentials, and sales performance.
- Support volume forecasting and production marketing activities.
- Assist in evaluating transportation, gathering, processing, and storage performance.
- Maintain commercial dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze customer, purchaser, pipeline, and processor data.
- Support month‑end revenue and settlement reconciliation activities.
- Gather and distribute market intelligence from industry publications and market data services.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning processes.
- Maintain commercial databases and ensure data integrity.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Energy Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
- 0-3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Understanding of oil and gas industry fundamentals.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and data reporting tools.
- Basic understanding of commodity pricing and transportation markets.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Prolonged periods working at a desk in front of a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
