Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting
Overview
As a Principal Financial Analyst supporting Capital One Shopping, you will work for an exciting business that is growing rapidly and constantly evaluating new opportunities. You will partner with business customers on driving strategic business direction that leads to sustainable performance, and you will be asked to challenge our current well-managed processes to be more proactive, effective, and efficient.
Responsibilities and day-to-day work include financial data analysis in preparing Profit & Loss or other statements, and frequently building reports for higher level associates; providing management and business clients with project statuses; and performing reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests.
Responsibilities- Financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management
- Coordinate and collect input data from Financial Analysts in different departments, check data integrity, summarize and convert data, run models, verify, analyze, and communicate output data
- Develop business presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences and clearly articulate outcomes of analysis to leadership teams
- Ad-hoc requests and special projects
- Independently manage and prioritize workload
- Proactively provide management and business clients with project statuses
- Perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 4 years experience in financial analysis
- At least 4 years experience with financial modeling
- Master''s Degree in a quantitative major (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering)
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- 5+ years experience in financial analysis or financial modeling
- 3+ years of experience in technology or FP&A
- 3+ years of experience partnering with internal stakeholders
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with GSuite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- SQL and Python skills

- Minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries by location:
- McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 for Principal Financial Analyst
- Richmond, VA: $106,700 - $121,700 for Principal Financial Analyst
- Other locations will be paid according to the local pay range; the actual offer will be in the offer letter.
- This role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
