Grants Manager

The Virginia Department of Education seeks a Grants Manager to support planning, implementation, and oversight of federal and state grant programs through financial analysis, data management, and regulatory compliance. The position monitors grant budgets, prepares financial and programmatic reports, ensures adherence to federal regulations, and works collaboratively with state program staff and executive leadership. Key responsibilities include coordinating grant applications, tracking expenditures against budgets, analyzing financial data, and providing technical assistance on grant management systems.

• Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of work and interpret complex financial grant procedures and regulations
• Experience in grant management, financial analysis, or related function with knowledge of federal grants regulations (Uniform Guidance or EDGAR)
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI) and ability to create clear, accurate financial reports and dashboards
• Bachelor's degree in public administration, finance, accounting, business, data analytics, education, or related field
• Demonstrated ability to keep abreast of changing regulations and adapt procedures as required
