The Fixed Assets Analyst Sr. manages the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles' fixed assets portfolio, ensuring compliance with state and federal accounting standards. The role involves maintaining accurate records across multiple financial systems (FAACS, LAS, Cardinal Financial, AMS), reconciling asset data, overseeing annual inventory counts, and preparing year‑end financial reports. The analyst collaborates with multiple DMV departments and the Controller's Office to support audit readiness, financial integrity, and process modernization.
Keyqualifications:
- Considerable knowledge of governmental accounting principles including GAAP, GASB requirements, and CAPP Manual as applied to fixed assets and leases
- Experience maintaining complex fixed assets and lease records with demonstrated ability to analyze data and prepare reconciliations and reports
- Experience with financial or asset management systems and ability to research complex accounting issues and recommend solutions
- Documented experience serving as a technical resource to financial and non‑financial stakeholders and managing multiple priorities
- Moderate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis tools
- Verifiable experience with systems such as FAACS, LAS Plus, Cardinal Financials, or Oracle EBS
