IT Governance Analyst Legal Support

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal/regulatory support and guidance to VDOTs IT Division on procurement and governance matters
• Analyze proposed legislative and regulatory changes impacting IT operations
• Act as liaison with the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) for claims resolution, debarment actions, and legal issues
• Coordinate and support legislative briefings during General Assembly sessions
• Prepare reports on legislative impacts and status for operational units
• Ensure compliance with the Virginia Public Procurement Act and related statutes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 8+ years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of experience in Virginia public procurement practices and regulations
• Demonstrated negotiation, mediation, and dispute resolution experience
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience analyzing complex financial/legislative data and creating clear reports
• Education or experience in Law, Paralegal Studies, Public Policy, Business Management, or related field
• Must reside within the U.S. (no offshore work permitted)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the Code of Virginia as it relates to IT
• Virginia Contracting Officer (VCO) certification
• Experience working in a state or local government agency
