Position: JOB: Crisis and Resilience Adviser, Citizens Advice Richmond – apply by 20 Jul

Salary: £34,672 per annum / 35 hours per week

A rewarding role offering holistic support to households in hardship and responding to immediate need, while working towards long-term financial resilience.

Citizens Advice Richmond is a well-respected local charity with over 85 years of experience delivering free, independent and impartial advice to residents. Their core mission is to provide the support people need for the problems they face and to advocate for policies that improve their lives.

They are launching a new project, funded by Richmond Council in response to the cost of living crisis, and are seeking a Crisis and Resilience Adviser to support residents who receive help from the Crisis and Resilience Fund. This is initially a nine-month project, with the potential to be extended.

You will work alongside existing projects and services, which are already seeing many clients affected by cost of living issues, and offer advice on a range of issues, including benefits and debt.

You will act as a single point of contact for clients, helping them maximise their income and reduce their expenditure across welfare benefits, debt, housing and related issues – completing benefit applications, applying for grants on their behalf, and referring into Citizens Advice Richmond’s Manage Your Money team.

The role involves casework, community outreach, and partnership working with council officers and the voluntary sector. It’s a great opportunity to join a friendly and diverse team and gain valuable project development experience while building your advice knowledge.

Interviews will begin taking place on the week commencing 20 July 2026.

The closing date for applications is Monday 20 July 2026 at 12pm, although applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and recruitment may close early if the post is filled.
