Job Duties
  • The chief objective of this position is to ensure that all Department eligibility materials are accurate, compliant with federal requirements outlined by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), meet state and federal accessibility and readability standards, and align with agency branding.
  • The Analyst provides highly technical eligibility policy analysis to other units within the Department, sister agencies and community partners, develops and maintains Medicaid and Families Access to Medical Insurance Security (FAMIS) eligibility notices and policy documents, to include the Medicaid Eligibility Manual and Medicaid Member Handbook, and coordinates the division’s training responsibilities.
  • The business needs of the position have in-office requirements to include but are not limited to attending the in-person training and/ or meetings and collaboration with DMAS stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Considerable knowledge of Medicaid and Child Health Insurance Program (CHIP) eligibility criteria.
  • Considerable experience with Medicaid and CHIP eligibility and enrollment systems.
  • Experience developing and implementing Medicaid eligibility system changes.
  • Considerable experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Considerable experience analyzing, interpreting, and applying state and federal eligibility laws and regulations.
  • Considerable experience meeting deadlines.
  • Considerable experience communicating complex topics with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Considerable experience developing professional presentations.
  • Considerable experiences developing policy guidance and training materials.
  • Considerable experience in project management.
  • Considerable experience resolving complex problems.
Additional Considerations
  • Considerable experience utilizing Adobe Acrobat Pro.
