Job DutiesPurpose of Position:
To provide assistance to Virginia Information Management (VAIM)/G6 in the management of Mail Operations, Print Shop Operations, and Publications Services.
This position is part-time and is ineligible for state benefits. Hours for this position average 29 per week, not to exceed 40 hours per week.
- Knowledge of postal operations;
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing;
- Knowledge of postage and shipping regulations and procedures;
- Working skill in the operation of postal equipment such as postal scales and postage meters;
- Ability to keep postal mailing and stock records, prepare necessary reports, lift bags and bulk packages, and stand for extended periods of time;
- Must be willing and able to travel throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia;
- Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record required;
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry packages up to 70 pounds.
Active Secret Security Clearance preferred.
