Duties & Responsibilities- Teaching:
Faculty member will have teaching responsibilities in the area of Hematology/Oncology Psychology. Faculty member will provide guidance and mentorship to Residents and Chief Residents in the area of Hematology/Oncology Psychology. - Research:
Faculty member will have experience in securing revenue through grants and contracts and will serve as a research mentor to other members of the division and the department of Pediatrics. - Service:
Faculty member will serve on departmental or School of Medicine level committees when appropriate, as well as professional through journal review, conference presentations, etc. - Clinical:
Faculty member will serve as a Psychologist in the Division of Hematology/Oncology. The division provides clinical care to both inpatient and outpatient arenas.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA or CPA-approved program, including an APA or CPA-approved internship.
- Experience with clinical care of patients ages birth to 21.
- Experience with education of house-staff, medical students, and others.
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
- Experience in programmatic development/leadership.
- Sub-board and or additional graduate degree.
- Experience with advocacy at local, state, and national level.
- Success in generating revenue (grants/contracts).
